-Responsible for all Eastern Region design engineering activities of a world-class Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) provider with over $40mm in annual sales at local facility.
-Represented several national accounts including Lucent, NCR, Solectron, Ericsson, Airvana, Chromatis, Alcatel, and Fujitsu.
-Reported to Vice President of Concurrent Engineering, Global Enclosures Division.
-Directly managed eight employees consisting of Design Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineers.

DESIGN ENGINEER

-Designed products to customer specifications and developed concept designs.
-Designed a safe for NCR.
-Responsible for the design of indoor enclosures.

-Developed a configuration for Pro ENGINEER automated design process of an enclosure.
-Developed indoor enclosure holding 2000 pounds of equipment and passed zone 4 seismic.
-Designed caster mobility system for enclosure cabinet, which was submitted to corporate for patent approval.

OCTOBER 1997 – JULY 1998

-Guided customers in the design of new sheet metal components using Pro/ENGINEER or Cadkey.
-Coordinated the quoting of new projects and made presentations to the customer.
-Developed flat patterns for all new parts and coordinated plant activities to ensure timely delivery.
-Made product modifications to ensure customers quality expectations.
-Review existing customers’ components and made suggestions on how to reduce cost and improve manufacturability.
-Set up manufacturing cells to improve product flow.
